No offence intended but your oviously miss informed. There are no major money worries in the BTCC, and if you are refering to Breeze leaving Team Halfords that was a mutural desission between Vic Lee and Breeze, that it would be better for both of them. Breeze then outbid Pyper for the GA Seat (so theres more money about!).

Paid drives as such are common in all motorsport series, and all motorsport series are also experincing worrys with money due to the fact the economy is recovering from a slump. Infact all companys are finding it difficult at the moment not just motorsport based ones.

As a whole in the UK, all of motorsport has money problems because of the fact Octagon are in great debt and are selling their circuits. This and the ecconomy has a knock on effect on everything, not just the BTCC!

The BTCC is in a fairly good economic state at the moment, and where it is not these areas are common with all series.

All motorsport is driven by money. Unless you're in a works team you are going to have to find money, usually through sponsors, to pay for a drive. This happens in all levels of motorsport, BTCC, FFord, F1, F3000, karting...

In the 'old' days of the BTCC there were 8-9 works teams with plenty of money to pay engineers, drivers etc.
