TBMATT05 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
If you had the money

Enough of us, have talked about owning our V8 Supercar teams if we of course had the money to get it up and running. But if you did have the money, what would you team look like, who would be your team name, drivers and where you be based etc.

Here's mine:

Name: Alpha Motorsport
Brand: Holden
Vehicles: VY's if I could get them up and running in time, if not then some old VX's
Franchise(s): Ex IMS and Romano Racing
Based: On the Gold Coast
Livery Colours: Yellow, Maroon and Black
Drivers: 14. Greg Ritter and 13. Alex Yoong
Other Programs: Konica Series and Carera Cup
Konica Driver(s): 79. Stepthen White and 78. Tony Ricciardello
Carera Cup Driver: Clayton Pyne
Edurance Drivers: Heinz-Harold Frentzen and James Brock

Ok that's enough day dreaming

If I had the money the last thing I would invest in would be a race team, and I certainly wouldn't be spending too much bloody time on racing forums.

I'd have Ambrose and Rick Kelly as my two drivers, cars probably Commodores. Enduro drivers Ingall and Seton.

I'd also have Ambrose as the NUMERO UNO - but I'd be too scared about his impending overseas (NASCAR) ambitions!!!

TBMatt05, this scenario has already been lived out by one person...

Name: Thexton Motor Racing
Car: Ford Falcon AU/BA
Base: Queensland
Other Programs: Konica and Sport Sedans

One of the funniest I have ever seen is this version of Team EnZed (pinched from someone at V8 Central a fair while ago)

That wasn't from v8 central that is my 10/10ths fantasy team from last year.

I would have Ambrose and Lowndes in falcons with Steve Richards and Murph for the enduros. Sponsored by Bundy rum or XXXX Beer maybe with a taxi company onboard, so there is free booze and a free ride home.

I would apply for a job on your team!!! Be sure to tell me when the wheels are in motion - or do I mean when the beers are cold?

You would have to get to queensland and the only condition is that the trip has to be a pub crawl.

The launch would be a keg party in my back yard with a bbq.

Well I definitely wouldn't be the first person to have moved to Queensland from Adelaide over the past few weeks to take up employment at a race team (before anyone starts rumours - they weren't drivers).

Itching for some action eh?

The Team Sheepshagger car and the Bundaberg car were both used as 'liveries' in last year's V8 Supercar Fantasy Championship right here on Ten Tenths, by Armco Bender and Greencardy respectively.

As far as the '04 Fantasy Champs go, I've got the launch for that pencilled in for March 1, or whenever the last few drivers are confirmed. So I guess you'll see my dream team then.
