Hmmm, if I didn't know better, I'd think the Hondas are sandbagging again!

I think a lot of people were trimmed out for Qualifying, where some are just concentrating on Race Set Ups due to the weird scheduel(I'm looking at you AGR!) I fully exspect Honda to Dominate the final "Race Trim" practice, and the way AGR are set up on the grid, kinda reminds me of a Charging defensive line on a football team Last edited by Refutation; 16 Oct 2004 at 03:31. |

Hey marcus, I posted something in the silly season thread about Greg Ray's problems this weekend, and also some stuff about his future, which could be pretty good.
I think Helio gets excited over winning poles, because you get a nice fat check for your troubles. I think there are certain tracks, and Texas is certainly one of them, where your qualifying position just doesn't matter. I also expect AGR and the Honda boys to get to the front quickly during the race... Tomas in second, not to shabby for a Chevy, but will he do anything with it? |

Some new sponsors this weekend to look for.
Dario will be sporting Beechcraft on his front wings. Carpenter will have the Dallas Mavericks on his rear wing. Giaffone will have Humana(don't know what they do) Both Cheever cars will have Chili's Resturants Nice to see some big companies in there, just to bad Ray couldn't get it done. |

That was a nasty one ofr Alex, but there wasn't too much concern of his condition so presumably there isn't really much to worry about. I think he'll be fine.

With a little luck I'll get the races live next year (all depends on whether my cable company is able to negotiate for the channel I need to be included in their package - negotiations have been going on all year long...). |

Good race. Not sure it was the best of the season as Paul Cherry said on the UK commentary feed. A shame all the fun elements keep retiring (Scheckter).
Cheever to run three cars? Scheckter to stay with Panther. Dreyer & Panther to run two cars? Plenty of cars, no engines is the story. All very bizarre stories - I'd have expected Tomas to get out of there. Anyway - on to 2005! |

We have our own commentary now? Haven't seen an IRL race for a while, but this could tempt me back as I was mighty sick of Lee and Rice.

Will Sky do a end of season review if so that would be cool.
Anyway I like Gary Lee and Lary Rice. |

Another good one from Texas. I think we're going to miss this annual season ender next year!
Nice race for Helio and the Penske guys, who were really on their game today. I was really excited to see my man Scott Sharp up at the front and dicing with the big boys today. His car was really on today, and if not for a poor restart at the end, who knows how high he could have gotten. I think Chevy must have given Scheckter a flat out screaming race engine today, that was either going to finish with a win, or blow up. Guess which it did... Incredible! He's just to tough on equipment for my liking. I hope Barron is OK, he really got that Chevy to the front towards the end of the race, before getting into it with Franchitti's spinning car. Tough break, and a tough year for the Cheever boys. Is it 05 yet? What am I going to do now? |
