1st time to LM24
Hello all, my husband, father in law, sister in law and I will be going to our 1st LM24 Race this year. We are only going to be able to make it to Saturday given our travel plans but very excited about going nonetheless. Husband and father in law are the race fans and are interested in attending the meeting to meet fellow race fans-any suggestions about how to find you around noon? Also, does everyone just bring cheese and wine to share?

You are all welcome, we will be meeting close to the michelin tyre stand in the village, photo's of the approximate place have been posted but follow the smell of cheese, people bring all sorts of things usually local to where they come from, so expect some strange things i think you will have no problems finding us, we are multinational but because the english are so crap at learning other languages it tends to be the common tongue. Look forward to meeting you all and you will love Le Mans

Looking forward to getting over again this year, only a week to go until I arrive! Last year I got the meetup as it was winding down so I'll be doing my best to get there at an appropriate time this year!

Just bought a bottle of Somerset Pomona for the meeting. A 20% mix of cider and cider brandy, meant to be good as an aperitif and with cheese. In theory should be perfect for the cheese fest (and is very local), however have never tried it before, so we'll have to wait and see...

With the amount of booze and food that you lot are taking will be having be careful not miss the start of the race. Because at this rate you with either be too drunk or too full and you will all need an afternoon nap to sleep it off....!!!
PS - Gutted not to be there with you all again. |

Whilst I may not be too good at watching my figure, I'm pretty scrupulous at avoiding over-indulgence of alcohol at that time. I have a full night to get through!

Yeah I was thinking about bringing some English Whisky (more for camping to be fair, but we'll see!) along. Got a bottle of Penderyn today for my birthday

Well, I usually bring Pineau des Charentes, but this year with so many drinks already proposed, I'll go with something more solid, Foie Gras (du Périgord)

Crikey with the quality of food and drink on offer, perhaps we ought to make this a black tie event!

I remember you are partial to a little foie gras! I'm with GT6 and will want to try everything, but that really could be a truly spectacular over indulgence of rich food and alcohol which doesn't work well with 24 hours of racing to come. I'll just have to rely on my self-control - oh dear!
