Well, with F1, all they would have to do is have VAG build a car and call it a Porsche one year, an Audi the next, a Bentley the year after. So on and so forth. I think there have been some VAG F1 rumors. With LMPs and GTs, I would assume that they would have to build separate cars (or at least cars that look different) for it to be worth anything to the brands. Maybe not.

Oh, BTW, WTCC will be having a race in California this year. I'm sure Bentley and Porsche aren't looking to enter the WTCC though!

P1 seems to have too little ROI for Nissan. Running Zettos and Godzillas and powering P2s must be cheaper and get a better impact in focused, less massive publics.

I guess it refers to the looks. The 918 looks like a GT. Since the car will be sold, it could be classified as a GTH rather than a P1.

Also, if you enter P1 as a Japanese manufacturer now you have to make sure to invest enough not to get trounced by Toyota...did anyone spot a Honda logo on the Strakka car?

Thats a shame if its true, but the phrase does leave the door open and then toyota always denied it until the official launch. I think the earliest we could see it now would be 2014 anyway.
