Hmm - Got a mobile grease monkey round last night. It turns out the Air Con compressor was throwing a wobbler, which is fine because switching the air con off stops it making the nasty noise. V Scary though, the compressor is tucked away near where the cam belt passes, which made it sound like the camshaft and it's bearing were throwing themselves apart.
I shall be there avec caravan from tomorrow morning sometime |

Ello Crow glad you got the noise sorted....as regards sign on, Black X is correct with his times, and yes Simon `Timmy Mallett` Nettell will not be there. Turn up at the pound as Pikelet directed and ask for John Hicks, Pike or me, Jim Tatler and we will get you sorted and hopefully you will have a good weekend.

Had another great day at Prescott, makes a huge difference not having to get to the circuit before the sun rises!!
Free Coffee, free Jackets potatoes, what more could a Marshal want! Not many incidents apart from some one wedging half there undertray under the armco, we got a nice cheer when it finally gave in! |

On the subject of Marshalling @ Prescott, has anybody been able to speak to Simon the Chief Marshal recently? I've tried phoning him, but all I get is number unavailable...
And people have started phoning me about marshalling there, which is nice, if a little ironic |

PM me with the number you've got, and I'll see if it matches with the one he recently gave me.
See you Sunday only. It's great that Jan's taken to marshalling on the bank and said 'Can we go?' I don't need asking twice... |

Apparently we need alarming twice, though - neither of us heard it and we awoke at 10:15... Oops, sorry all. Was looking forward to this as well.

Yup, I had had another great day there again on Sunday, Looking forward to the next meeting!
Tell you what though, it's bl**dy scary seeing a car go over the edge at semi, you should have seen the look on the drivers eyes as he wen't over backwards. Well done to all for running a great meeting, and thanks for the guys who sorted out the spuds! |

Hi all, thanks for turning out in the numbers that you did...it was good to see so many of you there.
On that note can I thank all the marshals who kindly volunteered to help out at MIRA on the saturday....at one point it looked very grim but you all turned out and made the event happen....it was THAT important! Sorry about calling an end just into the class winners run offs but the oil from the BMW made tower corner far too dangreous to carry on with and at least it got you all off the bank before the heavens let loose! Back to Prescott...thanks for all your efforts on what proved to be a longer day than any of us had intended...hope the beer helped to cool the suntans!!! Simon N is in the process of moving at the moment so if anyone has a problem contacting him, please PM me here and I will make sure the message gets through Cheers Jim |
