Paul will at least for the moment remain as CEO, so probably no prospect of returning on a full-time basis. But the $53.8 million cheque from Metcash should ensure the future of LDM for a while.

I'm surprised that they didn't move the Autobarn sponsorship from RNR to LDM.

AutoPro is also an Automotive Brands nameplate, and is already on the LDM iSelect Commodore...
... while LDM is actually located in the Automotive Brands headquarters in Nunawading

24.9% interest still held by the Dumbrells, $17mil + suggests its no Grabbit & Run exercise.
Will Metcash see the value in V8 sponsorship?

You mean besides its title sponsorship of the Bottle O FPR Ford and the Lucky 7 SBR Ford?

Metcash will spend up to $70 million on its buyout of hardware group Mitre 10 and will pay $53.8 million for the controlling stake in car-parts business Automotive Brands Group. It said it could own the business in the next three to five years.
