I like the ADESS look, but we do not need any more LMP2 cars!! They'll run out of numbers and that'll give Level 5 an excuse to run #055195552 or whatever at Le Mans!

New cars are always great, but I was hoping for the LMP1 program to be a success. Any recent news on the Perrin project?

And what's the debate between ADESS and Lotus? I haven't been following it closely...

We do have variety in LMP2, it's simply the preferred choice of the teams...

Due to costs reasons... It was better when people like Jean Rondeau had their chance to win (and we know he did it!) with a self-made car! Good times...

Providing they produce good close racing, I'm not so fussed about LMP2 variety. I'd like to see more lids on the cars though......

Maybe the 2016 rule-set will require it.

NO No NO

Open cars please no tin top regulations, or at lest the option, I might own an estate car for taking everything down to Le mans but will always own at lest one soft top and always think open cars look better than closed once.
I think anyone that believes we need more rules banning anything needs to think carefully as the next change might ban something they like

There is no way to legislate close racing. There shouldn't be, either.

Legislating the shape of the car too precisely will lead to a field of clones, but not necessarily to close racing.

Look at the last Rolex race: Jordan Taylor drive away from the field by 17 seconds, a caution, opened a ten-second gap, next yellow, opened a 2.6 second gap in a couple laps. Without the cautions he might have lapped the field.

Nealry identical cars, all with roofs, and one car was quick enough to lap the Entire rest of the field, not just the back-markers.

That's okay, too---that happens sometimes in real racing.

NASCAR would have found a hot-dog wrapper, or a driver would have tossed a little foam from the roll-cage padding. Say what you will about Rolex, but the "phantom debris" cautions pretty much stopped two seasons ago.

Could not agree more! Unfortunately we live in an age where people think that legislation will solve all issues. It more often than not does the exact opposite. Freedom is a much better way to go, although we have to be prepared to accept some of the drawbacks.

Really sad news that arrived the last weeks. Many projects were annouced in the past and it looked like that the P1 would
have a good mix of private cars and works cars and now Dome didn't find any customer, so did Adess and now OAK. All three have shown their constructor potential in the past. Still too less money in the game for some good private team/chassis combinations.
A shame that the WEC is still far away from the good old and glory days of sports prototype racing like the Group C or the BPR-series

I think the series needs more limelight. That would bring out more interest. But how do you do that with limited competition at the top level? Thats why I hope Rebellion have good success with their car. This may open up interest if others see its possible to win against factory teams.

What is your hope for success for Rebellion? At this point they are the best non-factory team at most races. I don't see them winning unless a total meltdown happened to Toyota and Audi, and that meltdown would probably garner more publicity then Rebellion winning.

My hope is their hope. To challenge for overall wins. No more favorable rules for a specific fuel. The team believes they have a good chance with the new rules. And that should be the case.
