Bahrain Driver Of The Race.

So many to choose from.

Alonso for a strategic win.
MS for providing the pressure.
Button for the overtaking moves.
Klein for outshining DC
Rosberg for a stand out debut and fastes lap.
Raikonnen for running last to third.

Of them all I go for Rosberg. Hard driving, fought his way back to seventh after an iffy start.

To finish only 20-odd seconds behind his team mate after having his nose knocked off and getting fastest lap you've got to give it to Rosberg.

Didn't the incident involve his team mate?

Kimi Raikkonen for me, with Nico a close second. Really impressive debut. Still, I'll give it to Kimi for a brilliant 22-->3, with NO safety car.

Kimi was stunning....starting from the back and finishing ahead of his teammate..

But for me it had to be Nico Rosberg....He is a very quick driver and in a years time he is going to be a real star

I feel that Master Rosberg has to get the nod. He showed true racing spirit, driving the wheels off his Williams, and doing that extra stop to pick his nose in the pits, makes it all the more impressive.

Had he not been there, it would have been Raikkonenenenenen for a stunning tactical drive from the back of the grid to the podium.

I was expecting more from Toro Rosso, they could still be "fun" later in the season.
I guess that Midland and others will be *****ing about the V10 for a while. Why can't they accept that the Toyota isn't that good, and their chassis is a dog in comparison.

Looking good so far, but anything could happen when the European season starts.

Rob.

Raikkonen is my choice. He finished ahead of his team-mate, unlike Rosberg, and he was at the back through no fault of his own, which doesn't seem to be the case for Nico. And Rosberg also made a mistake in qualifying.

Nico had an impressive race, but I'm going for the race winner, Fernando. I thought he showed maturity, speed and racecraft to match it with the master, TGF. Really, I thought the first three drivers to finish the race were the three best drivers of the race.

I'm also going to give credit to Webber. He has been under attack on this forum for the last week, and he did a tidy job to bring home his car in sixth, without necessarily the "heroics" of Nico. Button also had a strong race and but for a poor start he may have been on the podium. Finally, I'm going to give a credit to JV. He would have been mixing it for points had his BMW not blown up.

But Fernando is my driver of the race.

Rosberg for me.

Yes, Kimi had a great day at the office but is carving up Toyota's and Midland's really much of a challenge when you're in a McLaren? I just find it hard to jusifty Kimi's performance when I take into account the limited of amount of running Nico had done all weekend, and then to bag a fastest lap in an arguably poorer car than Kimi is suitably impressive.

From the results, I'd go for Kimi - last to podium is nothing but of a very impressive performance.
But, I sense a lot of that was careful strategy - not that I'm dismissing Kimi's work in any way - and in watching the race I've got to pick Rosberg too. He really did drive the wheels off that car, and put in some impressive passes.
Overall on the day though, there were a few above average performances, on any other race a number of other performances could have been enough to claim my "driver of the race"

Definately Rosberg for me. For a debut that was very impressive, this kid has great potential.

Honourable Mentions: Raikkonen - very good drive from 22nd, but, was on a one-stop, but still fabulous drive. The pace of Schumi, Alonso, Raikk and Button give cause enough for great hope!

Raikkonen for me. From the back to the front and only 19sec. off the leaders at the end is just an incredible drive. JPM in equal machinery couldn't match that.
Rosberg deserves credit though, saw some very mature overtakings from him.
I am a little dissapointed in Button. He made some good passes, but he also seemed to run too deep into some corners on more than one occasion. I think the Honda is a better car than it's being shown.

it has to go to kimi by far, he started from the back and ended up on the podium. how can ppl say rosberg? he crashed and finished 20 secs behind his teamate. it was a good comeback but he still crashed.
