Graham retweeted that and I remember him mentioning a few days a go that a big team would be announcing a British GT programme which would be devastating to a major series.
Maybe Loeb back tracked and will take his McLarens to BritishGT? Would be odd.

I think it's something Oreca-related given who tweeted about the announcement. Loeb to BritGT would be very leftfield. More likely JRM.

A few things need to change before it can happen but I'd love to see the Prius in the mix somewhere. AsLMS is a good first step and the only place for now it is eligible.

Regional series (ALMS, ELMS, AsLMS) can add their own classes (e.g., GTC, GT3, LMPC, FLM). However, WEC seems to follow the standard Le Mans class structure.

Indeed. And the title of the RCE article is "GT300 hybrids eye Asian Le Mans Series".

On the other hand, the Chinese WEC round did have GT3 cars in the past to fill the field

I'm aware of when the Fuji WEC round is, thanks. The article says they may be invited to take part in the future WEC. That's what I pointed out.

Mike Fuller tweeted yesterday that David Price has been spotted in Georgia (presumably with the ALMS folks). Anybody know what could be going on?
