dc too slow??

according to an interview posted on itv-f1.com

http://www.itv-f1.com/news/news_story.php3?mediaid=8718

it would seem to me, that dc was too slow last season, as he's stated that he didn't have 1 wheel to wheel race with jpm, but had to make do with tgf!!, but didn't jpm and tgf go wheel to wheel 4 times?? is dc talking out of his a*se??

he's also getting his excuses ready for whem kimi whips him!

quite a funny read this one, especially when he says that jpm is small and cuddley!! and that rafe is the williams team's backbone!

Nicholas should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just because DC didn't go wheel to wheel with Montoya, it doesn't mean he's totally rubbish. Last year's Austrian GP springs to mind.

Didn't you read the interview?
He is saying that he competed with Michael (nr 1 in thw WDC) rather than with JPM (nr 6). So that would mean that DC was quicker than JPM. And lo and behold, he finished 4 places ahead of him!

And I think it isn't very strange that he says that Ralf (nr 4) was more important for Williams than JPM (nr 6).
Basically he says: "Montoya and Ralf are about the same strength. Last year Ralf scored more points, and we don't know yet which one of them will score more points this year".

So that's basically the same thing that Ralf said 1 1/2 years ago.

When questioned over the Williams challenge, and in particular that from JPM, Coulthard was less prepared to join the Montoya hype-wagon.

"He's so cuddly, so small and like a little teddy bear," he said.

"But I don't remember racing with him once last year. I had to make do with that soft touch Michael

as posted in dc's interview. so you didn't read it either don!!

But I don't remember racing with him once last year

thats because jpm and tgf were doing all the fighting on the track at the front, dc was behind, hence he was slower

Well, if that were the case, why did he say he (=DC) had been racing with Michael?

He said:
1) I (=DC) was not racing JPM
2) I (=DC) was racing Michael

So we can conclude that (according to DC) either
3a) JPM was in front of DC and Michael
or
3b) JPM was behind DC and Michael.

Looking at last season's results, you may draw your own conclusions.
Or if you prefer to, you may draw your own conclusions without looking at the results.

But you can't possibly conclude that DC said that JPM and Michael were fighting ahead of him, while he was fighting Michael further down the track at the same time.

Well at Austria he didn't really need to go wheel to wheel with TGF or Montoya because they were busy and let DC past. Well, that's what I heard anyway.
