Why has your wonderful site slowed down immensely all of sudden? It used to be as fast as a Ferrari, but now it has all the speed of a Montermini driven Pacific. Why?
Is it because of that annoying credit card thing at the top of the page? If so, please get rid of it - I've had to wait for almost five minutes for one page on the forum to load. AAAAAAGH! Ok? |

Yeah, I noticed it'd slowed to the speed of a Minardi too
I will mail our hosts to see whether they have any idea - I thought it was just my local connection (it does that sometimes) but it would seem not ? It has nothing to do with the banner image - as we use width and height attributes for the image call, this would allow the browser to continue rendering the page as it waits for the image to download. Anyone else having trouble ? |

Minardi fan,
I'm sorry you have problems with the speed of uploading this site, but I think the problem is at your side, because I don't have any trouble with it. It's as fast as it ever was. And the "credit card thing" may be annoying, but it is there to help to keep this site up. And I'm sure you would not want to loose the best motorsport site in the world, now would you? Gerard. |

I thought it was just my connection, but it's got terribly slow for me as well. It seems that on the forums it gets as far as loading the top of the screen no problems but it's the list of topics that is really taking the time and in the photo galleries I could only get half of each photo to load

That is exactly what happens to me Carrie. I thought it was because the boyfriend is always playing around with stuff on the computer.

I've just had a faster modem installed and the site was really slow yesterday (17 Oct). My ISP is not the most reliable but things were taking so long it kept getting bored and dropping out.

I'm having problens when i try to load a topic. I'm unable to read all messages. For example: the topic "How does Hakkinen fell.." has 11 messages, but I'm only able to read 4 messages.

Mine's really slow too. Again I assumed it was my fault. (This is a Canadian habit - a local comedy show has commented re Bill Clinton's apologies, "One more and he'll be eligible for Canadian Citizenship!") It typically loads the top half (just above where the actual discussion panels start) and then just sits there breathing. Sometimes if I hit "stop" and then start up again it promptly gets on with the job, but this does not always work.
