Well they did choose to use SpeedcastTV which is run out of some guys mom's basement. It also sucks for the SCCA Runoffs and NASA Championships.

Finally got into watch the last lap of the race. Seems to me that the WC folks need to go talk the many series that stream. These guys made TUSC look good today which wasn't easy.

Yea they got some work to do with the stream but I think it has to do with maybe the amount of people trying to watch.last year it wasn't bad and watched almost every race through their stream not with increased interest they may need to update their streaming package.anyone who watched alms during the espn3 years knows how well that went at first.
Anyways I was able to watch the last 10-15 minutes, cars were pretty scattered but good battles for the lead.what a nice move by enge.its nice that they don't use fcy for every stalled car,but when thers a stalled car almost every corner with local yellows it makes it kind of hard to race. But either way I saw an impressive race in the few minutes I got to see. Also shaw on the broadcast just feels so right!! |

I got into the stream to see the last 9 minutes. It was good racing, and it was also nice to see race officials using their heads and throwing local yellows for stopped cars instead of ruining the entire race.

WOW. I missed the stream of Race 2 earlier today, but I just watched the replay stream and WOW!!! This year's championship is everything I had hoped for and more! I am absolutely blown away at the quality of this series and the new GT3 cars certainly add to the ambiance. Everything about the race and the stream, and the quality of the broadcast makes TUSCC look like a sh*t hole.
And the fact that they only threw full course yellows WHEN IT WAS ABSOLOUTLEY ESSENTIAL, made me quite the raving fan for the PWC right off the bat. I cannot wait to see it grow even more and hopefully become a large force in North American racing, I give them a very enthusiastic 9/10. By the way, what a drive by Tomas Enge! To have that unfortunate start and literally fight his way back to the top and pull that amazing move on Pilgrim was sensational. This is only a minor gripe: While I understand the schedule contains some tracks that are traditionally found on a PWC calendar I.E. Brainerd Raceway (Where and what the hell is that?) and quite a lot of street courses, I wish they would in the future, establish a calendar that contained more high profile tracks such as Road Atlanta, COTA (why are they not returning there?), and perhaps Watkins Glen. This series now has so much potential and if they can establish themselves by spreading the word on more significant and prestigious North American tracks, then this series is golden. |

Brainerd is cool, but Road Atlanta, COTA, and Watkins Glen are almost certainly out, because NASCAR.

They would have had to go FCY if either car would have been in a spot that would require them to be moved.
Brainard is a couple of hours northwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul. Great track that is on the come back. The SCCA just started going back two years ago after about 15 years due to safety. The new owners have reconfigured to remove the old main straight which used the drag strip and moved the trees way back. World Challenge is not a headline or stand alone series. They tag along with bigger series, normally Indy Cars, so if they do street races then WC has to do street races. I will give kudos for posting the video so quickly. Normally they are constrained to their TV deal to not post to YouTube until after the race has been shown on NBC Sports. Cheyne |

Old Brainerd was a zillion times better than the crappy new version.

Aside from the stream not, y'know, actually working live. Or going above 360p. And if some MRN jockey had repeatedly called the Lambo a GUH-lardo like the guy who wasn't Creamer or Shaw, there'd be 4 pages of complaints here about how awful the commentary was.

If the GT3 fields get real big and I think they are already big enough I hope that they can split the GT4 cars off into a separate race. That track looked awfully crowded. |

Also, was Turner's car a completely different Z4 than the TUSC version, or was it the same car converted? |

Same car converted. Lots of parts on the inside were changed to higher quality parts. The most obvious change on the outside is the bigger rear wing which is great. Those narrow rear wings in TUSK are so ugly.
