Well done Danny
Coming home at this late hour I thought someone else would have posted this by now - but then I guess everyone is at Donington - see you all there tomorrow guys!
Just wanted to say congratulations to Danny on winning the Formula Renault championship - well done Danny - you deserve it.... |

Absolutely - congratulations Danny! Has been on the podium for every single race bar one and getting that battered car home to fourth place at Snetterton was a minor miracle! Hope you get a decent F3 drive next year and fingers crossed for McLaren/Autosport award.

He said no to F3, but did not confirm which series he would be in next year, but he would be talking with his sponsors...

Danny was the consumate professional all year. He set out to do a job and did it very well. I will be interested to see if he can get the help to get to F3, and if so, would expect him to be right up there pretty quickly. Hats off to the guy. (wish I wore a hat sometimes, although it's a daft expression anyway ... why would I or anyone else want to take my hat off to him? ... what if I was terribly bald and he found that offensive? ... just musing)

A good job by Danny especially early on when the young ones were finding their feet but they were too close in my opinion at the end when danny still had to prove he was more than a match. f3 or V6 glad i'm not the one making decision!

This year was do or die for Watts.
This year he certainly lived by dominating the whole year. OK, so he was in year 3 of FRen but.... he was on the podium at every single round, and, was only off the podium once and that was Snett with a knackered car. Imagine if he had not been excluded at Thrucko, then the championship would have been won at Brands 3 weeks ago. Point taken. - Raikkonen in the making - Someone please give him a break and sign him for at least British F3. |
