When seven-tenths separate 1st and 7th, what can BOP really do when the car is competitive elsewhere in the world? Krohn can't be used to based the performance of the 458.

Kinda anti-climactic GTLM session.

Talking about the Risi car. The car is slow compared o the competition.

And? Check the WEC results from Spa, the 458 is on-par, they just didn't have a good qualifying run. Gotta be careful about that "team-specific" BOP.

Westbrook hasn't gotten the memo that the P2s are supposed to get the pole this weekend.

ESM is looking very strong here.

But WOW, Westbrook is really on a mission here.

Edit: 2 seconds later, Overbeek gets pole back again! That was a good battle up front.

How bout these apples guys!? This session is just classic!!!

Westbrook thankfully did not get the memo as this is just an awesome battle. Dalziel was right about getting heat in the tires.

Why is Radio Tallahasse completely ignoring the fact that the P2 pole has 1:16.642 last year, and is quicker than whatever laps these guys will put down?

Well, Krohn is slow. Is not my words. Fisi have said it. The car is slow.... I bet the WEC car is faster.

So Overbeek is about 2 seconds slower than the 2013 P2 pole, but about the same as his qualifying time from that year.

Because WGAF?

And I admit I tuned in late, but I heard Greg Creamer- is he a redneck now?

It driving me nuts! He doesn't even acknowledge the existence of the ALMS. I watch this series because I love racing but I hate the series. I was so ****ed off sitting in the bleachers at Daytona and Long Beach and was yelling at my TV for Sebring. I want to see the ACO cars but I get a sick feeling in my stomach knowing they are fighting inferior machinery because they have one hand tied behind their backs.

Two things of note:

1. Mazda outqualifies the GT cars for the first time. Just slightly.

2. Gap between pole times between LMP2 and GTLM in 2013 was 6 seconds. This year its about 3.5 seconds. I like that personally. It will probably take 35-40 minutes for the Protos to get into the GTLM traffic in the race tommorow if it goes green straight through.

Do you really expect them to point out that they are slower?

The people who know already know, and they have nothing to gain by telling the people who don't know.

He's made mention during the entire segment about track records being laid down when it's not true in the slightest. Apparently whatever laps DPs ran in the past count, even though they've been given all kinds of speed and downforce, but the P2s that have minor changes don't count.

Yes, it would be nice if we had a larger, stronger prototype field. But I feel that if ESM's HPD's, which haven't exactly been the swiftest package in any guise, can win pole here, Pickett could have potentially cleaned house.
