Vectra in Gravel Trap at Druids

New to this Forum, but can anyone point me in the right direction to a Picture or Pictures, of my " Claim to Fame " ( or Infamous Claim ) of when I put my Vaux' Vectra in the Gravel Trap Up to It's Axles, at Druids on Saturday the 23rd May 2009.

Glad you have taken it in good spirits, you're not the first and certainly not the last.

You're lucky you didn't do this on Aintree's 'hallowed turf' - they'd have made you into a eunuch.

Stevie.

Thanks for taking me straight to what I was looking for, yes it was all taken in " Good Spirit " by everyone concerned, the only fright that I got was when I was asked to
" Phone Race Control and Give Them my Name, ( I thought Bl***y H*ll ) I am going to to get a Bill for This, but that was not the case.

The only Downside to my Experience was after I had cleared the bulk of pebbles from around the front wheels and initialy tried the brakes and steering out which were OK, a couple of days later I was getting some very strange noises from the Front End, after some exhaustive inspection, it still persisted so much so that I had to Split the Offside Brake Caliper and Move the Disc from side to side only to find the smallest fragment of stone catching the disc, I have seen bigger diamonds in ladies rings it was that small.

Still the Lads were Great with me they even left me a " Souvenier of a Bag of Pebbles on my Boot Lid ".

Pete.

You are Certainly Right, If I had done that on the " Hallowed Turf " I would certainly have received a Bill for the Repair, at about £40-00 a Running Foot, and the Owners
(Jockey Club ? ) would most probably have barred me from the Circuit, in addition to that I am sure that my L M C Committee would not have been too happy with me.

Pete.
