Who should replace Murray?

Who should take over from 'God' in the ITV F1 commentary box?

Well, Ben Edwards would be brilliant if they could get him. Otherwise, Tiff has commentated on everything from UK F1 to Formula Ford, so he's got the experience.

And anything's better than James Allen.

I voted 'other'. I think it should be Robert (the British one) from "Junkyard Wars"

I'd say tiff is the best choice. Anyone is better than James Allen.

Well, James Allen is really irritating but knowing ITV - if they decide to drop James they may decide to put Louise Goodman in the booth - and that to me is TERRIFYING!

So I voted for Allen

I have no idea who should replace Murray, because really, no-one could replace the great man. From the sounds of it, there appear to be better candidates out there, preferable to the rather dull James Allen.

All that I know is that I don't want Eastlake and Jones to do our commentary in Australia instead.

Well Ben Edwards has my vote, he was pretty good on the F1 when Eurosport had and is pretty good on the CART racing aswell, but have u heard him on the powertour on Ch4, with the biy Heavan, now there is a good team, just think Edwards, Heavan and Brundle, what a team.

ANYONE BUT JAMES ALLEN!!!!

I hate the guy - in all the GP's that he's done, at that start he says: "One light, two lights, three lights, four lights and you know what happens next..."

But it should always be: "One light, two lights, three lights, four lights, five lights, pause and it's GO GO GO!!!"

(or you are allowed to say "laps" instead of "lights" if your name happens to be Murray Walker and your commentating on your last British GP...)

Hi!

Jim wouldn't understand anything he says. Doesn't get the dry wit.

In the press conference at Indy yesterday Mika was asked about Murray and he pointed out that despite Murray retiring he could always come back after a break!
