Wirdheim deserves a race more than Zzzzsolt. Plus he took part in the Monza test so he'll at least know the circuit and the car.

Tried to check out Jordan's websirte (not that I hought it would tell me anything), but check this out:

http://www.jordan-f1.com/

Hmmmmmmm. Anyway, the proper site http://www.jordan-f1.com/ confirms Ralph won't race, but doesn't offer any clues to a replacement. Jenson's girlfriend perhaps?

I wouldn't wish a EJ13 on any decent driver!

Firman was so rough with the car, even if it did deserve a good thrashing, that's not the way to drive a current F1...Yuk!

Sadly, Baumgartner will probably get the drive - he wasn't as bad as we all expected in Hungary, although Monza may be tougher. Wirdheim deserves the chance much mroe, but unfortuantely money tralks. As I suggested before, Eddie will proabbly be glad that he's got another chance to put a paydrive rin while still getting the payment for Firman.

I hope Wirdheim gets the seat. He took his first F3000 win at Monza in 2002 so he knows the circuit well and he's been testing for them this week.

Exactly

Sure, Ralph has made a few mistakes this year. But then again, so have Montoya and Schumacher. A lot of people have Ralph a slagging I don't think he deserved at the start of the year, and given the crappiness of the EJ-13 I'd say he's done a good job so far.

I'd say that Firman has done better than i expected, MUCH better than i expected actually.

I thought he would screw up and crash all over the place but he did indeed show some impressive stuff considering he had zero mileage beforehand.

Ralph was bloody awful in the first few races but after that hes been consistent but has shown nothing special, mind you he's driving a bloody awful car so its hard to show anything good in that!

Shame hes still injured though, wouldnt want to wish that on anyone.

He scored a point in a car with Bridgestones, so it's something.

Before the season started I remember reading about Richard Lyons being a possibility for the second Jordan seat.......he would also know Suzuka quite well....a little bit familiar to Irvine in '93!

Well I'm thoroughly confused now. This article states that Firman pulled himself from the race, for reasons unknown. Why did he do that, is he sick or hurt? Is this just for Monza or is he out for good?
