GP2 Bahrain rounds 5 & 6
time for the only standalone races for GP2, this one last year caused mass headaches all round last year as this one was canned due to the unrest when it was GP2 Asia. everyone know the track from last week and also keep this in mind, Friday is the 1st race & Saturday is the 2nd race.

...and very probably that qualifying is today. Generally on Mid-East countries, standalone GP2 events are done on Fridays and Saturdays, with qualifiying action on Thursdays. In GP2 Asia times it happened many occasions.

Initially I thought the same, that qualifying would probably be today, but I checked the schedule and this weekend is condensed into two days, so practice, qualifying and race 1 are tomorrow:
Schedule (UK time) - Practice: Fri 27 Apr 2012, 08:0 (GMT+1) Qualifying: Fri 27 Apr 2012, 09:30 (GMT+1) Race 1: Fri 27 Apr 2012, 14:0 (GMT+1) Race 2: Sat 28 Apr 2012, 12:0 (GMT+1) Glad to see every session of this standalone round is being broadcast on Sky Sports F1. Political situation aside, the races last weekend were great. |

Yeh, I just embarrassed myself with Will Buxton. He was posting pictures of the commentary set-up he's got alongside Alex Rossi at Biggin Hill (yes, the House of Ecclestone), and I began asking him why he was commentating for the race he'd already commentated on last weekend.
It was only a few tweets later that I realised there was another race this weekend! Looking forward to it. Still need to watch the second of last weekend's races. I downloaded it in painfully clear 1080p HD quality - I was almost sick... Incredible. Selby |

Yup, Dillmann drove a cracker yesterday, also i think Valsecchi is going to take some stopping as far as the title is concerned.
