Anyone know the total number of cars sold by Lola, HPD, ORECA, OAK and Zytek in the last twelve months.

This winter I can think of -

Lola - 2x Dyson, 2x Gulf, 1x Status, 2x Jet Alliance?, 1x Dempsey?, 1x Black Swan?
HPD - 1x Strakka, 1x JRM, 1x Muscle Milk, 2x Level 5
Zytek - 2x Greaves
ORECA - 2x Docking, 1x Pecom
OAK - 1 x Conquest, 1x HK Technik, ?x factory

ORECA of course sold a few cars last season, I believe Signatech alone have three chassis, Zytek are also strong on the engine front with their Nissan partnership.

Last paragraph indicates that Pescarolo has some plans for this year, but the whole thing might be very last-minute, his choice was made and his entry form submitted right before the entry deadline expires. No more details though, we'll have to wait for Feb 2 I guess.

Well. With Peugeot out, Playstation is up for graps!?

Playstation will still be on the Oreca Nissan's with the GT Academy drivers. Maybe they'll just up their support for them. This could possibly be a sign to Nissan to step up to P1 and use this branding. A big hole will be left by Peugeot, so now's the time!

As a marketing tool, if Nissan and Playstation can get Ordonez or any other of their lads towards the top step of a podium they will be quids in. The lads will need several more years to be close to that level though you suspect.

They finished 2nd in P2 last year at LeMans right? And I recall they were the fastest car in the class. Not sure why they didn't win, but they were darn quick. If Nissan signs a couple of them and makes a P1 entrance, I'm sure they'd get the best guys and give them good amounts of testing.

They finished 2nd, yes. They had a puncture early on and some little niggles during the night I think, Oreca mentioned how the 2012-spec 03 will have it's reliability improved.

Power steering was often an issue I think as well.

ugh.... the new zytek p2 looks horrible in some way. It would have been cool if it had oreca 03 or morgan lmp2-ish sidepods instead of that wall. low rear wing looks weird as well. Cant wait to see how lmp2 will look in 2014.

There is a lot of interest to keep LMP2 the same, because the privateers are fed up the constant rule changes (dorsal fin, fender holes, ...).

not the new rules but new cars. Some of this years cars (like the zytek, lola or oreca) are much like the 2011 ones with just a few changes, upgrades. It would be great to see brand new designs. And new chassis manufacturers to add to the variety.

It is not easy for new manufacturers to build a LMP2. Just look at Riley, who have an initial design ready but can not find customers willing to pay the bill.

Well, Riley's first LMP program didn't get off the ground either, I guess the potential customers don't have faith in them.

Look at Oreca, their 03 sells very well. Same goes for Zytek, Lola etc.

Riley is well famed for excellent race cars. So this arguement don't count.

Riley's problem for me is that RT start the work on the car if somebody bought the concept while Lola, Oreca, OAk and others exist and you can buy a car , which performance you know.

At Riley you have to buy a cat in the bag and that's the problem in my point of view
