hahaha! Yes, saw that!
Having looked at what is on this weekend there is one clear winner - the trucks at Brands - beats a few lousy fireworks any day. |

Guess it depends if you're trying to get people to head to a race meeting or some third-rate fireworks display

More an armchair thread this, or maybe cool sites.
What is the site and what is the actual point of your discussion? |

It has been moved, although it still isn't clear which site you are talking about or what you would like to discuss?

I guess its purpose is to sell the paper. If all the info was on the site,no one would buy the thing.Same applies to Autosport. I cancelled my subscription to Atlas when they were talen over by Haymarket & merged with Autosport site.

Missing the point!
I suspect quiet a few people are missing the point.
The Motorsports News website is there to point people to the newspaper NOT to compete against it. I have battled long and hard to get sprinting some space in the press and so far only Motorsport News of the mainstream publications have been interested. I think it covers a wide spectrum of the sport and as such is bound to disappoint some people with specialist interests. They must be havin' a larf making a bonfire the star event! |

It is a problem trying to cover everything in MN I imagine but they do seem to have gone off the boil recently, is so jammed with circuit racing which I dont mind, but they do seem to have fadds. ONe minute it is short oval, then its karting, then rallying then circuit racing, surely they know what their core auduience is now!
But then I guess that aint gonna reach new people. Fraid i am the oter way inside, i get most news on the net these days, is quicker, more throwaway and not kjust a collection of press releases processed from an office! |

I think that Haymarket in general need to make up there minds where the divide should be between Autosport and Motorsports News. There should also be a case for the Interweb as a news vehicle rather than a reporting medium. If they pitch it correctly the website(s) should lead the viewer to want an in-depth look at the stories and go out and buy the relevant magazine. Eventually there will have to be a parting of the ways as Autosport concentrates on the International aspects and Motorsports News takes a more parochial view. |

i think maybe they've decreased the number of copies they send out anyway? here, there's two places that stock it - smiths and co-op. co-op no longer have it and smiths have a fewer number of copies than before....

Did I miss it or is there no actual report of the Daytone 24 Hours, just the news story about Dan Wheldon winning it?
