So with Bottas in devastating form in the NEC series recently, does anyone think he will be able to close the points gap to Ricciardo?
It is after all, a much more competitive series. |

Well, he needs too if he wants to win the championship... I see the next round is at the Nurburgring on August 31, that should be good for Bottas as it is part (i think ) of the NEC title, though they havent raced there this year yet. Saying that, Ricciardo experienced the track first hand last week in the Euro F3 race - should be exciting both of them going head to head

Just got word from Johan Jokinen, who attended last weeks test. And he was on top of the charts most of the time, so he is really looking forward to the next race.

How many left to go? Now that Bottas has won the NEC series can he overhaul Ricciardo?

6 races left, anything is possible. Just look at how Ammermueller was overhauled by Kobayashi in 2005! I noticed Dean Smith finally got into the points with Fortec, but he's having a shocking season after great results the last 3 years in the UK. Singleton and Bacheta still not in the points either, and both of those are highly rated in the UK! I think the Eurocup is one of the most competitve series around with 40+ drivers at every meeting.

Bottas will take the title, he's the man in-form right now. Constantly on pole and winning races, even his team couldn't ruin his campaign. First Finn to take the double in FR 2.0 and next year he'll probably be in the Euroseries... and if I've foreseen it right, he'll be in top-3.
Forza Bottas. |

You will see, Ricciardo could not start race 1 because of engine problems and had to change it for race 2. He is very hungry for a win again, and Estoril is a track he likes. He will blitz them in the next round!

Well, he couldn't get 2 poles, but still won in race 1 ahead of Merhi(is he really that light?) and Bottas. Calderelli losing points...

Ricciardo has picked up just when he needed too! I see Miki Monras has left Hitech for SG Formula and is immediately in the points...bit confusing. Saying that, Singleton has finally got into the points for Hitech, ahead of Dean Smith.

singleton qualified 4th but had a horrid start, so that was unlucky for him.
As for Ricciardo, he is back to winning ways! Grabbing pole and winning race 1 gives him back the championship lead! race 2 he starts from 3rd, so it's going to be interesting to see where he will finish. |

Bottas on pole for race 2, I thin he'll walk it. Interesting points situation, four guys with a chance for the title.
