DaveM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A year and a bit earlier, and here's Chris Amon also looking relaxed on the grid for the 68 International Trophy. He's chatting to Graham Hill, while to their left is Jackie Ickx putting his gloves on (or praying) and in the background to the left Frank Gardner stands by his Cooper-Maserati.

This was one of the major meetings when I managed to wangle a photographers pass, so joined the great and good on the grid. Denny Hulme gets ready.

Bernard White lived in Walkington, not far away from where I lived so his workshop was a mecca for my pals and I. This is his Tasman BRM with David Hobbs about to go out for practice.

I may have got my facts wrong, but this car was meant to feature quite strongly in the Frankenheimer film Grand Prix at Spa, and Bob Bondurant who was driving was persuaded to change his helmet to match a film character, but it all went pear-shaped when he went off in the first lap rain deluge.

A year earlier, but still the International Trophy, and Jo Bonnier adopts his customary foot-on-the-tyre pose in case there's anyone with a camera close by.

Could go on forever! Do you remember the BBC Grandstand Trophy when the entire FF2000 winter series was shown from Brands?
My very first memory of Ayrton Senna (da Silva as he was then) was watching him roll his FF2000 into the catchfencing at Woodcote

An early Peterborough Motor Club Meeting. Not a motorhome in sight! That's how it should be.

The PMC has its annual race meeting at Silverstone tomorrow, Sat 26th. Good entries for the D&DMC Sports/saloons and Allcomers plus the frantic Midlands FF1600s & Monos. All on the International circuit.
I'll be there!
