Met a Russian marshal in Spa.

From what he was saying it sounds like they will be using their own (newly trained) marshals.

I guess there may be opportunities for experienced people but who would you contact.

There's a great deal of Singaporean marshals that are interested in Sochi also... will be watching this space to see what you guys come up with.

It is quite possible that the Hungaroring marshals will become involved if the Russian date comes off. I believe people from Hungaroring have already been involved in training marshals in Russia.

There's a turn up for the books! I remember that when the GP was first held at the Hungaroring it was used by folks from East and West (Germany, particularly) as a meeting point, as they hadn't seen each other for so many years.

And now the Hungarians are going to be telling the Russians what to do!

NB: This is probably a very politically incorrect post but I just couldn't resist it. I recall tales of the joy experienced at the circuit by those folk, plus it also shows just how much the world has moved on in the last 30+ years. Raise a glass of Bull's Blood to that.
