WDC second place?....
.....so, who's it going to be? Kimi leads Juan Pablo 83-82.
Now with Michael seemingly, and deservedly about to clinch his 6th title all eyes will be watching to see who comes runner up (or first of the losers as Ron puts it Who you going for? |

I reckon Montoya. Although Kimi had the pace at Indy. He didn't run light in Q. However I still think the Williams will have the pace at Suzuka.

Williams still have a lot to fight for, they are only 3 points down in the constructors cup.
I'll go for Montoya to win Suzuka, Schu to blow up and the FIA to declare JPM and Schu co-champions so there is no 2nd spot in the championship. |

JPM should do it. He like Suzuka and was flying there in 2001, Ferrari shouldn't have such a big cushion as they have in the past two years, so I'm predicting a JPM/Ralf win in Suzuka. JPM should have enough to edge Kimi, and he has never really shone in Suzuka anyway.

The points system sucks anyway.
GP wins; MS 6 JPM 2 Kimi 1 so does Kimi deserve it anyway? |

I hate it when people say that because a certain driver doesn't get the wins another driver gets he doesn't deserve the title but part of competing in the championship is consistency & on that score if Kimi happens to get runner-up or may be win the title Kimi will have got there through consistency & on that score i'll say he'll have deserved his position.

JPM definitely: he's still too committed for the WDC; even being demotivated for the personal fight to the WDC, surely sir Frank will push pressure on his dribers to get the best.
And he will certainly look for a mini-revenge, to finish the season as a winner, and proudly stand in front of WDC Michael. |

Monty being out of contention will help Ron drive his price down when negotiating with Frank having not won the series...
I wonder if the interest is now gone since the #1 plate isnt going to McLaren? |

JPM should do it with ease. He may well dominate Suzuka just to prove something...

This is the most outrages poll I've ever seen on this board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you wanted to post a poll on who is going to be 2nd in WCC in year 2003 you certanaly HAD to put Michael Schumacher's name as an option! You might not think he will be 2nd in the end, but be prepared to eat some humble pies!!!! Thank God you don't leave anywhere near me so you can't serve me some when the race finishes Last edited by ljakse; 29 Sep 2003 at 16:39. |

Yeah, but that's the IRL...
Besides, if they don't have any countback it makes a mockery of the number of races a driver won that season. Last edited by DriverT; 30 Sep 2003 at 11:09. |

Well its never happened before that 2 drivers in the world championship finished level on points.
In 84 Lauda won by half a point. It did happen in F3000 in 89 when Alesi beat Comas on coutback. |
