BTCC - Brands 24th Sept
Right, I'm finally going to watch and snap at a BTCC race meeting! Probably chosen the worse day to try and get snaps by going on race day.
However, what's people's tips for snapping at Brands? Thanks in advance! |

The outside of Druids is pretty much knackered now with the big fat new fence that's up there now. There is a small angle you can get but there's always someone up there with a step ladder from first light (come on show yourself ). Other than that Paddock is ok or the inside of Druids for panning shots (you need the practice ).
And obviously it's going to be wet so don't forget to wrap up the camera! |

Which version of the track is it on? You can get some cool shots at Surtees, if it's on the Indy. (Well and the GP aswell, but there's more options if it's on that).

It's on the Indy circuit so options are limited
I popped down to Surtess during the DTM testing and took a few shots from there but they were going faster than I could pan with properly (actually that doesn't say a lot ). Is there anywhere other than the outside of Druids that you can get the cars head on? (from spectator areas) |

BTCC site says Indy too...sadly can't be there, love BTCC on the Indy, but going out to Petit Le Mans instead.

Head ons available from the area to the right of the chain link spectator fence at Clearways, you can get a nice 's' shape line of cars coming through Surtees/Mclaren

Interesting, I've not really bothered wiht Clearways because of the extra fencing - I didn't think you could get any clear shots from over there.

it was initailly but i think the problems with westfield corner and the number of HUGE accident probably caused it to change

More likely, I think, is that JP would sooner SELL that circuit for 3 days rather than give it away for 3 days..... (and why shouldn`t he?) Besides, all 24 "race" days have now been allocated and/or used up.
