Arrows officially out of Hungarian GP
2002 Hungarian Grand Prix
Arrows Grand Prix International today confirms that it remains in detailed discussions with potential investors. In the light of this, Arrows has been advised to do nothing that could interfere with these discussions and that the OrangeArrows team should not compete in the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend. Arrows hopes to be in a position to make a further statement within the near future. Leafield, 13th August 2002 |

This is basically Prost history repeating itself isn't it?

This is really farcical now, after their fine showing at the British Grand Prix the rumblings in the background have taken over and destroyed the chances of a truly good racecar and a respectable driver lineup? It seems like Morgan Grenfall are involved in all this, in terms of preventing any sale taking palce yet, but clearly Tom's murky dealings have caught up with him. Still, most people on this site rate Tom only a little higher than Bin Laden, the only sadness is for Arrows employees.

VB is to blame. He cast a hex on TW after the Verstappen affair at the start of the season. It is a shame to see the fine Arrows team suffer like this, but as they say "what goes around, comes around" and TW is hopely feeling it now.
I hope they are bought soon so that the good people at Arrows can keep up the good work. |

Hey!!! My hex was only supposed to make the guy lose his hair and decline his libido - I never cast anything on Arrows.

At least it appears there are people willing to buy Arrows...
Prost of course was picked up by Phoenix, but it wasn't really a proper sale was it? |

I'm just hoping someone will pick up the pieces and save the team. It would be a shame to see another one drop out.

As I stated yesterday, this schamozzle has done on long enough. Someone put the team out of its misery.

Here in Quebec, they are saying that Craig Pollock has finalised the buying of Arrows and should be confirmed
tomorrow (friday) Arrows would continue with a Ford engine in 2003 and a Renault engine in 2004 |

Well, Tom also said they had NO financial problems(in the beginning of the season), so I would'nt believe what he says.

The FIA and Bernie Eccelstone will have none it of this horseplay from Arrows. Since the team missed this weekend's grandprix, harsher punishment will be in store from the FIA in the coming weeks. The FIA warned Arrows not to screw around after they intentionally not qualifying for the French Grand Prix.

I just read an in-depth article about the Arrows saga in the August issue of F1 Magazine. What a mess! Seems like Tom has been doing some underhanded business. The future certainly doesn't look good for Arrows.
