Burst Radiator

Unbelievable, one race left and my radiator has burst. I think/hope it must have happened while in the trailer coming back from the last race. It's only a small dent and hole in the lower corner where i think the side pod had cut in to. Point is, someone is coming to view the kart on Saturday while i'm racing and obviously 1 i cant race it with a hole and 2 cant sell it. Is there anything that i can ment it with that will be reliable as it's also vital i finish the races?

£130 really isn't sitting around at the moment

What kind of size is the hole, and is it an actual visible hole or can you just see water coming from it?

Depending on the size there are a few things you can do for a quick fix.
You could try patching it up with a bicycle repair patch, or a peice of rubber, and superglue, or you could use some silicon to fill it in.
Just make sure there's no oil or grease around the area before you attept to stick things to it.

It's miniscule, bout the size of a pin head i think, cant see very well as i'm working from one light in the garahe but i've fiddled around and can only feel a dent and no actual hole, water trickles out bad though

ah, you'll be ok with a bicycle repair patch, or just stick a bit of an old bike inner tube to it

and then you can get it welded back to working order.... sounds like such a small job somebody nice could weld it for you foc - if they're nice.

There is a product called "J B Weld" that is a 2-part epoxy putty that is incredibly strong and long lasting. Make sure the area is scrubbed absolutely clean with something like acetone, and then sandpaper it lightly to rough it up, apply the J B WELD and it will probably be fixed permanantly.
