On-line radiator source?

does anyone know of an on-line source of radiators?.....perhaps some sort of kit car site?.....where I can view the dimensions before I buy.......I need a radiator thats a maximum of 60cm wide, and no deeper than 48cm.........with the flat cooling tubes (not round) and core to be a minimum thickness of 30mm........any ideas?......just had a big overheating moment on the M25 and a warm day.......not good

I got a really beautiful alloy rad for my black Camaro from Northern Radiators bloody good price as well for the size of the thing it was far cheaper by far than a DT or similiar one for an Escort!

I know is a US site but with the dollar/pound rate, it works out quite reasonable,

sorry, I meant to say production derived radiators.......fitting a custom ali job to my kit-car is a bit OTT for what it is.

Why not find a production rad that'll fit and use that then.

All the rad repair boys have the dimensions for cores just phone any of them.
Most of them will knock one up in a day if you have the top and bottom(or side) tanks.

WHy not try and make the existing unit work better?

Have you checked/tried"
Ducting in
Ducting out
Fan opperation (if for stationary)
Chemical suppliments (Redline water wetter is legenary)
Air flow angle, across the fins works better
A cleaned core (and motor)

All cheaper than a new Radiator.

Water Wetter is the nuts, thanks for reminding me I need some, ebay I have found is a good source. also fit the fan between the engine and rad (if standard rear wheel drive engine up front, not the fan in front of rad, I have just changed mine around cobbled a single unit off a V6 Seirra (usually a twin but I cut it down) and converted the cowling and strapped it to the rad with tie wraps, it works a treat.

Its always best to fit a bigger multi core rad than you really need especially on a competition car, you can always blank it off. I run a multi core rad that dosen't hold a lot of water and without any blanking was only reaching 60c at the weekend in practice. The ambient temp at Snett was hot and I don't run a fan. If it gets above 85c on the grid I turn it off untill the 1 min board. I like to run it as near to 80c as i can
