Has a TV deal been settled yet? I wasn't aware of that. I certainly haven't heard of any TV channels that are going to show it.

Lamy to race with Benfica Team
Pedro Lamy will soon be signing with Benfica to race with this team car. He's only waiting for confirmation about the seriousness of this championship....

I heard some unconfirmed rumours that the BBC will broadcast it live every raceweekend (will they bring back Murray from retirement?).
Hope the raceweekends are good...and hope to see you at Zandvoort then |

it might be worth a look, but their main problem will be forming a fanbase. when you're flitting from country to country, it's always nice to actually have people there to watch the races.

Thats the spirit!!! They should have left Graham Hill Bend, Westfield and Dingle Dell corner alone!!!
F1 should stop being so fussy and stop demanding the pits to be like a 5 star hotel. They seem to have lost their spirit. |

The only reason Brands was going to be 'upgraded' was if the British GP went there as originally planned. It is still sufficiently good to hold F1 or equivalents, ie it holds BOSS and TGP races without any problems, not to mention World Superbikes!

Whilst I love motor racing, whilst I love the idea of the cars and the circuits they will visit, whilst i even could put up with footy fans cheerin their team colours along from the trackside, I still, unfotunately cannot see it going ahead.
Was it not reported in Autosport last week that the sries was not due to start now until July or something? That to me smacks of delaying and delaying from an earlier originally scheduled start time due to the fact nobody has signed a firm contract for ANYTHING yet - not the circuits, not the chassis manufacturer, no drivers, no football teams etc etc. A shame as I could do with spectating at another major single seater series without the hassle of F1 crowds. However, my money is on a cancellation of the entire project due in around March-April. And yes, you can all quote me!!!! |

The series won't start until after the World Cup.. there was never any point of the series clashing with that.
I can't see it working - but there's plenty of cash in football to support it!! I reckon it'll go to Rockingham - can't believe that Octagon will allow them to race cheaply.. |
