According to http://auto-racing.speedtv.com/artic...-1-at-sebring/ Audi probably will miss the afternoon practice session (which will start in 4 minutes ).
Quote:
While McNish was uninjured, the R18 sustained considerable damage to the front and left sides but reportedly no damage to the tub. As a result, the No. 2 entry of McNish, Tom Kristensen and Lucas Di Grassi will likely miss the afternoon's practice as the German squad rebuilds the P1 class contender.

JoeMaters should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Only info so far is it was on turn 17, first out lap with cold tires, the car spun. It had suspension damage and nose of course with McNish at the wheel...

Anyone have the times from Session 1? I didn't get to see the whole list before it restarted to session 2.

The Sebring track record is:
  • qualifying: 1:44.974 (Marco Werner, Audi R10, 2007)
  • race lap: 1:43.274 (Sebastien Bourdais, Peugeot 908, 2009)

I can imagine that Audi will go under 1:45 during qualifying, but that 1:43 from Peugeot seems out of reach.
And the unofficial record is a 1:42.8 by the 2008 Peugeot during Sebring unofficial practice.

Anyone who thought that the privateers will have a chance, will be disappointed.
Jarvis is doing a long run with some fast lap times: 1:47.149, 1:47.162, 1:45.963, 1:48.046.

There's always a chance at Sebring. McNish crashes the car into a Ferrari, Sebring breaks the other Audi.

But yes, the privateers don't have a chance on outright speed.

Traffic will play a part as well. You never know when you'll get caught up in a GT battle or PC etc.

Yeah, they're already up to the 1:49s. Rebellion down to the 1:47s now as well.

1:45.806 for Audi #1 and is faster than last year's pole time.

Those aren't the real qualifying times though. Qualifying abandoned due to force majeure. Provisional grid will be set using combined fast time from Practice 1, 2, & 3.

The usual handy tweet aggregation is available from this neat little site. Just ignore the 'classification' on the left, of course.
