skells22 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Race of Macau 2014

here is a rare thing for the streets of Macau, no titles up for grabs just 2 races to decide who gets the last wins of the season, last year 2nd race was very messy with a 1st lap pile up that blocked the track then on lap 5 people was going a bit too fast at a crash site that almost mow a marshal down and blocked the track again.

hopefully this year race goes a lot smoothly than last year

18 days before the races

Thankfully, this time there will be no amatuer Macanese drivers (except de Souza). That's the big plus of the regulation changes with no actual reason of entering in TC2.

I'm actually hoping that the races are as messy as last year. I had soooo much fun with race 2 where every corner was exciting. That's what classic touring car races are about for me. I completely didn't mind staying up late to watch the end of the race. I'm afraid that there is going to be no overtaking at all at Macao this year.

Usually, when someone is forced to miss Macau, it's because of financial reasons (Cerqui, Monje). For some reason I feel same problems here. I just hope he will be back next season, Borkovic is a great addition to WTCC field

Oriola is on the bench and ready for the call. In a city that never sleeps, it's important to always be alert. Because if you blink you might miss something. Or someone.

I don't buy the Borkovic hand injury. it's definitely because of funding issues that he's not going to be racing in Macau. it seemed to me that all year he's been on the verge of emotional breakdown because of something going on behind the scenes, and now it's come to fruition. all of his crashes and incidents have obviously eaten through his budget. his recent podium was too little, too late.

with that said I think he's shown to be a competent driver and deserves to be in the series. but only time will tell if he can gather the funding for 2015.

López is showing how low is the quality of the drivers in WTCC. He arrives in Macau for the first time and does it in style.

Muller, Chilton and Thompson show how low quality drivers BTCC.
Monteiro shows how low the quality of the drivers of Formula 1.
Loeb shows how low quality drivers WRC.
And so on

Epic finale. What Huff does in that Lada is absolutely unbelievable. Shame for Tiago though, deserved a victory this year.

I hope Michelisz's performance earned him a factory drive - Honda will be a bunch of fools if they don't sign him.

Hopefully it was the last of these amatuer Hong Kong/Macau drivers, again making trouble

Since the WTCC won't be at Macao, the amateur drivers will probably head for TC3 or whatever series will be the successor.

But yeah, the racing was decent enough, even though it was more due to the tight track that made it difficult to pass. But still, kudos to Huff for holding up Muller for that long.

EDIT: But we shouldn't forget Lopez's performance in Race 1. It reminded me of Nicola Larini's very first DTM race at the Nordschleife. Yes, much like Lopez, he had the best car in the field. But to put up such a performance on a very challenging track is superb.

Rob Huff shows again he's truly a world class touring car driver. to hold off Yvan Muller lap after lap the way he did.

The situation with Bennani's car in the first race was a situation if there was one, parked wright on the racing line, with al kind of trash flying around. And shouldn't a driver or haven been penalized for not respecting double waved yellows?
