Speed was saying they were told at LEAST 1 hour longer at 5 pm EDT, so most likely a 2:30 sprint to the end if they get back to it. Big excitement going into today and now I feel a little lost. Hate it for all the guys at the track, both fans and crews.
The #16 is the non-classified Dyson entry right? And did the Fernandez car have an off or mechanical trouble? |

This has basically become a 6.5 hour race. Damn, I could have finish my research paper in the time that I waited.

According to the race director on Radio le mans there may be a bit of a window in the weather in about an hours time.

I've heard nothing to indicate them calling the race. SpeedTV also said that they think the rain will taper off in half an hour, and they'll take half an hour to clean up the track and try to get the rivers cleared up.

SPEEDTV.com reports the race is planned to be restarted around 7:30 local time.
That would leave us with over 90 minutes of racing, lets hope it really happens. |

I'm thinking Quesnel wants the win by calling the race

Of course he hopes it wont be possible, they are just in front of McNish who will be making every crazy move to pass in a sprint type race.

I don't think the rain has to stop completely, they're not planning to dry the track, just cleanup the hydroplaning areas.

it would be the same as the malasian gp i would imagine - you get the position, but only half points (which may have implications for the P1/GT2 championships)

At the track now. Rain is down to a drizzle. Trucks are on track attempting to be proactive. I imagine if they send em out again they will run yellow flag laps for a bit so the cars can start to clear the water. If it stays as light as this (rain), we should see some racing before time expires. Hell I hope so since I flew down here from NY.
