I don't see any damage from the pics which would be a show stopper, depends on the spares situation as to whether it hits the track again this weekend.

Same thing I was thinking, do they have a spare tub at Highcroft they could build up if needed? And any reason or rule that could make it hard for Sharp to return to the track this weekend, if he's medically cleared?

Any chance they can run one of last year's P2s that have been for sale? Or are those in Europe?

That is an acura no more. I'm glad sharp escaped that crashed without a srcatch maybe a little shaken up for the second year in a row but fine.
Poor Duncan Dayton. In this economic climate that is not what you want to see ever. Let's hope Highcroft even shows up the rest of the year and comes back in 2010. That Acura is on expensive piece of equipment |

Wow. That's a big crash, I'm so glad that Scott Sharp is ok though.

Well apparently there is now a mysterious third ARX-02a tub which is now being FedExed to Atlanta...

Radio Le Mans, their pit reporters have been talking to Highcroft and Acura. Tub will arrive at 7am in Atlanta.
They also talked to Scott Sharp, he confirmed that he simply never saw the Farnbacher car, likely due to the Acura's fenders. |

Glad I'm going tomorrow. I'll get to see a car being built from the tub out.

Where would they build up the tub? Do they use a fully enclosed paddock structure/tent or is it open enough to see in?

Apparently the #16 Dyson is running outside the LMP2 category because it's running BP Butanaol Fuel. They'll be uneligiable for points because of it. There's supposed to be a press release on it tomorrow.

I was going to say that it would seem ridiculous at this stage of development for the Acura P1 to not have an extra tub somewhere. That in my opinion is just asking for trouble.
Johhnny O said that they do not have direct injection this weekend? Why is that? |

Porsche objected because the Corvette street car doesn't have DI.

Shouldn't be an issue as the architecture of the engine is the same, they are just changing the size to match the engine performance with the restrictor size. Believe both the Ferrari and Porsche are the same thing, correct?
Why the different fuel for the Dyson? Sponsor tie-in or will it work better in the solving the engine problems? |

Okay, I'm not following this particular conversation. Is this why they are listed as "UNC"? What exactly is are we talking about? Sorry for being so dense, but I don't see any explanation to this.

UNC = Unclassified. They're basically now running in an "Invitational" class. The Radio Le Mans guys were discussing it because they weren't sure what it meant, and Johnny Mowlem and later the Dyson guys confirmed it was because BP wanted Dyson to run this butanol fuel for this event, mostly because the #16 isn't exactly fighting for a championship anyway. But apparently they weren't going to fully announce it until tomorrow.
IMSA don't have rules about Butanol or any sort of equivilancy formula so they're not going to be allowed points or anything, hence why they're not listed as LMP2. |

And could Peugeot be going for all out pace-we remember how many times they did that and it didn't pay off, especially in races like LM '08 and possibly PLM this year by not taking into account all the variables, and the Audi seems to be better right now on a green track. |

I've been to a few ALMS races but seeing night practice tonight as they came down through the Esses was something else. The Aston sounds the best too.
