Expert on UK Trade Plates Wanted
I'm trying to trace the UK garage/dealership to which the following trade plate was consigned in the early 1960s
256 LD I know this to be a limited trade plate [so consigned to a firm rather than an individual] and I've currently got it on a photo of a dark blue LHD E Type coupe [so presumably being driven to the docks for a foreign owner] LD suggests a central London dealer, but can anyone give me an advance on this? John, if there is another forum on which you think this might get an answer, please feel free to post it across Chris {I should add that the photo in question is in an artwork by the 'esteemed British artist' Tracey Emin, and I'm just doing a little fact checking, given the claims for 'truth' in her work...} |

Chris, is there any way you can post a picture on here? What colour are the plates, red digits on a white background or white on red background? the former were restricted plates as far as I remember.
