Isnt this Harley cool? Darn...a piece of art... $70 000 is ex though!

That is one nice looking Harley!! Is this true Gt-r, Have Harley actually designed and manufactured this as a tribute to Schui's 51 victories. I had no idea that Schui had any connection with HD..... What has Schui had to say about it ?

Yes, according to more than one site, Harley Davidson is going to produce 51 special edition bikes to commemorate MS's 51 victories, costing a cool $70 000 per bike. It would be unveiled in Sept and Frankfurt Motorshow. Michael owns several Harley, and the company wants a tie up with Michael to promote sales.. But the picture shows the new range Harley bikes VRSCA V-Rod instead of the spec edition. Rumours have it that the spec edition bikes are red in colour, have over 100bhp, and several important parts made of carbon fibre... Hold your horses... |

Nice looking Bike, but I would not spend all that money in a piece like this one, I think I'll buy another thing. Anyway, it looks really good.

Any connection between 2 wheeled tractor builder Harley Davidson and automotive excellence Formula One is about the same as intimacy between the Queen Mum and a Drag Queen ... unthinkable.
With one exception, which goes by the name of AMoffat.

Well my Harley ridin' days are over. Two reasons. Firstly a friend I went to school with has some money and just spent $45,000 on his second bike (like the second motorcycle he has ever owned!). A Harley with the lot. This to me is not the idea. You need to work your way up. Survive the two and fro'. When either could see you admitted to hospital. Ride in the wet and the gloom. For year after year. And do it for twenty years - like I have. Then, you can a buy a Schumacher Harley because Michael, the life time biker, says it's cool. This is a joke right? I will find the Hunwick - Harrop site and post a picture. Now that bike is something to be exited about. Or perhaps the Flood Prowler, both Australian versions of the real thing. |

I don't know what happened to Hunwick Hallam but I guess they went up into smoke because of their huge XR-1 superbike development debts and Hunwick continued to form Hunwick Harrop or something??
The Hunwick Hallam Boss VPower Cruiser from 1998 was a totally awesome monstrous big bike:  But the non-plus-ultra in big machines is without a doubt German, rightfully called 'Mammut 2000' so I guess Harley seeks some German link to get over it.  Ouch!

Thanks for the pictures of the Hunwick Hallum. The race bike was truely awesome wasn't it! Your right Ron Harrup jumped in when Hallum left. The production version can be seen here www.hunwickharrop.com.au. You can buy one from this site. The Mammut is the rightful follow up of the seventies version, which had a car motor. Can't remember the brand though. |
