Racer_kyle should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Fantasy F1 Malaysia results / standings!

Well Hello again folks. It's been a busy 3 weeks here at the FF1 offices, with lots of paperwork having to be processed to ensure the series continues to run smoothly! Thankfully we are now on top of things, and race results should come flying in soon after the actual F1 results from now on!

Just to clarify - last race a few extra points were allocated where they shouldn't have been .

The "1 point for being classified" was awarded not only to constructors who were classified, but to drivers. Obviously this would have meant that drivers finishing 8th, 9th, 10th etc would all have scored 1 point. Only the drivers who finish in the top 8 in the actual race will score in the fantasy league from now on. Constructors who are classified outside of the top 8 will score a solitary point for each car home. (And a bonus point for both cars finishing).

Sorry for the mixup - a few teams will now have lower results (by only 1 or 2 points) from last race. On behalf of FF1 Ltd I would like to apologise!

So here are the results for the Fantasy Grand Prix of Malaysia!

And for the second race in a row, RF Grand Prix Engineering stand high atop the podium! Enjoy the taste of that Mumm though, the chasing pack are keeping the pressure up!

24 RF Grand Prix Engineering

22 Super Duper Best Friends

20 SuperChilli F1
20 Guerain F1

19 BC Prehistoric Motorsport

18 Team Prodrive
18 Polished Rookies F1 Team
18 Team Hepatic Racing

17 Team Super Duper Cracking Mega Win
17 Poleman-Tart

16 DBK Knowlsey Racing

15 WMB F1 Racing
15 Fantasy F1 Arctic Racing

13 Team Going Round in Circles

12 Chatters Motorsport

11 Andrews F1

8 AT&T Shadow Racing

7 SZM Honda

So already it looks like 4 or 5 teams could be taking the lions share of the points this year! Many shrewed teamowners gambling on the bargain basement Lewis Hamilton are already reaping the benefits!

The Overall Championship standings look like this...

68 AT&T Shadow Racing

56 Polished Rookies F1 Team

50 RF Grand Prix Engineering

47 Guerain F1

43 Fantasy F1 Arctic Racing

42 BC Prehistoric Motorsport
42 SuperChilli F1

41 Team Going Round in Circles
41 Team Prodrive
41 Super Duper Best Friends

40 DBK Knowlsey Racing
40 Poleman-Tart

39 Chatters Motorsport

36 Team Super Duper Cracking Mega Win

33 WMB F1 Racing
33 Team Hepatic Racing

32 Andrews F1

29 SZM Honda

So it looks like those bonus points from the start of the season are still keeping a few low scorers in contention at the top of the table?! But how long will thy be able to withstand the onrushing RF Grand Prix Racing( who are incidentally suspected of having a moveable floor, but will any other teams make a challenge?!)?!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few little momentos -

1.From the next race on, a BONUS POINT will be awarded for the driver who qualifies on POLE POSITION.

2.Throughout the season, there will be certain BONUS POINTS RACES, where ONE out of your 3 components will score double points. The designated races will be Monte Carlo, Monza, and Spa.

What we are asking is that you nominate ONE out of 3 of your components who will score DOUBLE POINTS at these races. Please fill out the form below and PM it to Racer_kyle

------------------------------------
Team Name:
Nominated Component: (name of [driver 1/2/constructor])
Chase: yes/No
------------------------------------

Any teamowners who do not nominate, will automatically have their CONSTRUCTOR nominated to score double points.

3. Mid-way through the season, there will be a TRANSFER WINDOW, where you can change ONE of your 3 components, providing you have the necessary funds to do so! Once again, it will be first come, first served, and no two teams can be identical! The window will be open for the 2 weeks between Silverstone and Nurburg. Just a little prior warning!

4.As you may have noticed on the form above, there is a "Chase:Yes/No" option. We at FF1 would just like to know the opinions of the teamowners on whether or not they would like the last 5 races of the season to be in a Chase format, a-la Nextel Cup. We realise this is formula one and not Nascar, so it may not go ahead. We would just like to know the feelings of the teamowners so we can decide on how to act.

Thankyou for your contiunued support of Fantasy Forumla One, FF1 Ltd.

This is getting too easy for the team. Are we back in 2002.

I have also decided to make Kimi my no.1 driver. Hence expect Nick to move over from now on.

Well it's like in Nascar. For the last 5 races we would take the top 8 teams, and put them into a battle for the championship. Reset their points scores so that they are all even and let them battle it out to the finish.

A few people have voted against it so far so it's likely it won't go ahead anyhow!

Yeah - I vote against it as well - can't see the point to be honest. Also, some teams did not use their full quota of money and took points bonus instead, which messes up the overall standings somewhat.

yeah but those who took bonus points are scoring very low as they have rubish drivers - their advantage will be eroded soon enough!
