Yoong Montoya should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Best 5 motor cycle races

Here's my top 5:

1. WSB Imola 2002...an all out war for the win and the season title between Troy Bayliss and Colin Edwards. The most exciting race I have ever watched.
2. MotoGP Brno 2003...a 4 way fight for the win between Rossi and Sete on Hondas and Bayliss and Loris on Ducatis with a great last lap scrap between Rossi and Sete, with Rossi winning a close drag race out of the last corner to the line.
3. WSB Misano 2004...Chili coming from over 10 seconds back in the last 10 laps to pip Laconi and take an amazing and emotional victory at home.
4. MotoGP Welkom 2004...Rossi defying all expectations and beating Biaggi and Honda in a straight fight in his first race on the Yamaha M1.
5. WSB Monza 2001...Bayliss and Edwards going head to head at 200mph and Bayliss overtaking Edwards around the outside at the last corner and holding him off in a drag race to the line.

Ant West winning at Assen.

Ralf Waldman on slicks on a wet track cant remember where ? , coming through to win on the last lap.

Eddie Lawson winning for Cagiva at the Hungaroring in 92 I think

Gary McCoy winning at Eastern Creek in the 125's again 1992 I think ?

The ones mentioned are definately among my favourites - for pure racing excitement I'd give it to Brno last year. Today's first WSBK race is a definate candidate for race-of-2004.

Too many races over too many years to think of. I'll say it's a tie between every second 125cc race since about 1995!

No it can be anything. Those ones I've listed were just the ones I've seen.

I thought about including that one actually, but I think it was kind of an anticlimax with the rain on lap 22. I didn't actually see the 6 lap sprint because BBC cut off the coverage (In case you're wondering what I mean by anticlimax, I mean that it robbed us of seeing a potentially awesome last lap scrap between Rossi and Sete with a drag race to the line between the 2 of them like Brno in 2003).

JGM should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
For many years it was accepted that the 1967 Isle of Man Senior TT was the greatest motorcycle race ever held. This was the final show-down between Mike Hailwood (on a Honda) and Giacomo Agostini (on an MV Agusta) around that theatre of the Gods, the thirty-seven mile IoM Mountain Circuit. They were neck and neck until the last lap when Ago's chain broke and Mike won.
