First of 2008 - most of you know the drill, but if it's been your New Year's Resolution to join in with prediction comps we need:

A word to the wise. NZ is the 1st country to see the light of every new day and therefore ahead of anyone not living here, get your entries in on Thursday at the latest is very good sound advice

At lot of people were assuming there would be a home advantage at this round, and were proved right with a number of high scores - particularly Red Bulldog!

The first round of 2008 has well and truly mucked up the overall scores as we reach the half-way point of the season. But, at the same time, it's made things so close they're quite fascinating...
SBF's tried and trusted method well and truly failed, thus dropping him from 3rd to 7th; and a poor round (by his standards) by bizkit means he loses his position at the top to the on-form Red Bulldog.
A number of high-scores from those languishing nearer the bottom of the scale has completed the transformation - particular note needs to go to Peno who was 8th, now 4th. Just goes to show how close things are at the minute.
And, with 110 points theoretically available (even if the varied nature of the series makes that a practical impossibility), it really could be anyone who wins at the end of the season!

Yes a bit of a 'mare that one even though I did manage my first 2 pointer of the season.

I'll probably stick to my guns with the Eastern Creek predictions....probably
