MikeJAllen should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
W.R.A MkIII

Does anyone have any information or pictures of the W.R.A. MKIII driven by George Whitehead of W.R.A Engineering in the 1963 Gold Cup Meeting? The car was entered under the Cheshire Racing Team banner. Even if the car did not race at this meeting I would still like to know a bit more on the history of this car for a book I am writing on the Gold Cup Meetings.
Cheers
Mike

I can't help much. George Whitehead raced a very quick Anglia in those days, and also built-up engines for other Anglia racers. I know that the Mk2 WRA was a clubmans car, and I also know that at one point he built a rear-engined sports-racer rather similar in appearance to a Lotus 23 - I reckon this could be the car in the entry list.
