gaius ghinn should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Does anybody know the likely 'drive by' db level of a ff1600? Donington have 'quiet' test day with a drive by limit of 98db but we're not sure if we'll pass this.
Does anybody have experience of Supertrapp? Are they effective, do they affect performance?

Definately take a supertrap exhaust as we got thrown out last time - and spent the morning driving around to find a solution...

OK thanks for the advise, was that Donington you are refering to and if so a 98db limit on drive by?

Do you have any idea of the affect on performance/lap times using a Supertrap?

thanks,

All that supertraps do is shut the exhaust flow down. Although they work they definitely sod the performance up.
The best solution is to make up a secondary silencer that can be somehow fitted for testing even though it might not be too pretty !

no idea on performance diff - as was first time to track for the driver - and if you are running a modern FF (which I think you are) then diff to see where u would fit another silencer in a hurry.

Donnington took our man off the track for about 2hrs whilst we fixed the problem - so prob worth putting one in the tool box ...
