Why Monaco but not Australia? Albert Park's had a contract extension, but Monaco is free to do what it wants

I'm sure I've done this before, but what the hell.
1. Australian GP, Melbourne 2. Malaysian GP, Sepang 3. UAE GP, Dubai Autodrome 4. Turkish GP, Istanbul 5. European GP, Donington Park/Mugello 6. Spanish GP, Jerez 7. Monaco GP, Monte Carlo 8. Canadian GP, Montreal 9. United States GP, Laguna Seca 10. Mexican GP, Mexico City 11. French GP, Le Castelet (no chicane on the Mistral) 12. British GP, Silverstone 13. German GP, Nurburgring 14. Czech GP, Brno 15. Belgian GP, Spa 16. Italian GP, Monza 17. Portuguese GP, Portimao 18. Singapore GP, Marina Bay 19. Japanese GP, Suzuka 20. Argentinian GP, Potrero de los Funes 21. Brazilian GP, Interlagos Frankly, if Monaco is satisfactory for F1, and I don't care if it's a street circuit or that it was grandfathered in, I'm not sure what you can consider unacceptable. The laws of physics are the same at Monaco, Singapore, and Melbourne as they are at Mexico City, Laguna Seca, and Potrero de los Funes. The ONLY way you can thoroughly convince me is if the numbers PROVE that those "questionable" circuits are truly worse/more hazardous than the worst/most dangerous circuit(s) already on the F1 calendar. |

I am taking this from the point of view that all of the current F1 tracks will not be available contractually, so I have selected alternative venues.
_1. Adelaide (AUS) Australasia _2. Phakisa (RSA) Africa _3. Losail (QAT) Middle East _4. Chennai (IND) Asia _5. Macau (MAC) Asia _6. Fuji (JPN) Asia _7. Zhuhai (CHI) Asia _8. Mugello (ITA) Europe _9. Jerez (ESP) Europe 10. the new track (POR) Europe 11. Paul Ricard (FRA) Europe 12. Hockenheim-Ring (GER) (long track) Europe 13. Brno (CZH) Europe 14. Zandvoort (NED) Europe 15. Mo i Rana (NOR) Europe 16. Brands Hatch (GBR) Europe 17. Mosport (CAN) North America 18. Sebring (USA) North America I've given thought to the seasons with the first races being in the southern hemisphere, gradually moving up the atlas through Asia, then across to Southern Europe, moving North all the way to Scandinavia for their driver representation in motorsport. Brands Hatch is the last European track before jumping off to Canada, then down to Sebring as a finishing race. I think this is a good way to bring the US fans into the sport, and it always used to be a feature location on any motorsport calender. |
