I'm pleased to hear this possibility James - particularly LMPs. Leap of faith for those teams though - or are we thinking that it's existing teams saying we can bring another car?

Maybe Racing Box ? But somehow doubt it , cuz it was never their intention to race 2 cars . Probably a budget thing .

Or Race Performance with their Radical . Otherwise all the P2 cars are already in .

According to DSC it is indeed a second Racing Box and PiR / Race Performance with their Radical that have made the offer.

I'd like to think that should the need arise the ACO would act sensibly to ensure a 55 car grid. Given they did so with the whole Epsilon / Lucchini episode in 2007 I'd be optimistic of them taking the right course.

The DSC article I've just read states the Racing Box are NOT seeking an entry for their 2nd car!

The bit from DSC that led me to think Racing Box might be involved was...

A 2nd RB Lola would make 11 Lolas in the 24 Hours! I like the sound of that!

Hope Ayse won't mind me replying on his behalf..........

Seems Kolles have not, as yet, requested the obligatory support team for the R10 TDI's from Audi Sport. DSC do add that, according to Audi, it would only take them two weeks to assemble such a team for Le Mans, so cut off for Kolles is still a couple of weeks away. Read into that what you will.........

Let's hope after yesterday's race at Spa that not too many cars are badly damaged.
Heard that the Young Driver Aston was damaged and even the KSM car, how badly? does anyone know about that?

i dont worry about YD-AMR,they have one more cars,Aston DBR9 is a great car and have the ability of winning Lemans or there's no competitive British GT cars(another two GB car,the Jaguar and the Dunlop Vantage could hardly finishing a race)

The Young Driver Aston was totalled (and it was their brand new chassis), but they have a spare. Bruichladdich will be fine, the tub was undamaged (which cannot be said for the driver - let's wish him well and hope he makes a full and speedy recovery). I'm not aware of any issues which might prevent KSM from competing at Le Mans.

Sadly not. He is still in hospital in Belgium with a fractured vertebra, although he hopefully should be able to fly home to Norway by tomorrow.

Bit of a shame as he was doing very well, having come up from P50 on the grid to be P13 overall after just 12 green flag laps, and posting a best lap time at that point quicker than every other LMP2 car, save for the also recovering Strakka.

Not sure about the 'walking away' bit, but from what I understand, the impact led to crushed vertebrae.

(Ah, someone in the know. Thanks for the update, John. I'm sure everyone on Tenths wishes him well!)
