Predictions Comp: Mexico
The action in Mexico city starts on the 14th March, so it's time to open this thread so people can start getting their entries in before the start of first practice.
Whilst it may be Red Bulldog's to lose with an 8 points lead, there's 22 points available each round. Maximum score in 2 of the 3 remaining rounds for a brand new entrant would put you on the same score as the current leader, so it really is still wide open.
With 2nd to 5th only having 1 point between them, regardless of whatever else happens, it's going to exciting for the runner up's spot.
2 picks for pole position, 2 picks for Fastest Lap, top 3 in the sprint and top 6 in the feature is what we need in this thread please.
As a reminder - if you want to leave the picks as late as possible until all the drivers are confirmed, but don't want to risk being too late, you can enter a 'provisional' entry at any time. If you then want to amend it, post a complete new set of predictions before the deadline making it clear that its an amendment, as I won't add details to the spreadsheet until then.

ok, going to give this a try then:
Sprint:
pole: New Zealand
1: Great Britain
2: Netherlands
3: USA
Fast lap: New Zealand
Feature:
pole: New Zealand
1: Netherlands
2: USA
3: Great Britain
4: Mexico
5: Brazil
6: Malaysia
Fast lap: Mexico
I also predict that Germany will qualify 2nd for the sprintrace, but he will punt NZL out at the first corner (Ammermüller is driving after all).

For my final time this season, I'm going to do my impersonation of Tim Gudgin and announce the results....
It's back to a high scoring round at last, with more people than I can ever remember getting bonus points for pole and/or fastest laps. And a few more were close - if only they'd put Canada as being pole instead of Fastest race lap...
It's also can't actually remember (and can't be bothered to try and check the records) the last time we had not two but three joint round winners. So, shared congratulations!
| Entrant | Points |
|---|
| NAC | 8 | | blew by u | 8 | | chunterer | 8 | | Asp | 7 | | Red Bulldog | 7 | | ScotsBrutesFan | 7 | | Kiwi3 | 6 | | Peno | 6 | | Mekola | 4 | | RichardRenes | 4 | | bizkit | 3 | | dazbaz | 3 | | woodster | 3 |
Overall then, there's still one name at the top of the table, but it's far from an insurmountable lead - so far.
And behind that, well, you couldn't get closer with a famous brand of shaver...
