Perrera has already been linked to a couple of teams. Namely Forsythe and Conquest. However as per the article, Walker was working on Rafa untill he ran out of time, so Perrera could have a leg up here.

You mean as opposed to past Atlantic champions in CART's hey day where they didnt a main series ride. The last couple of seasons has seen Rahal, Pagenaud, Legge and Zwolsman all graduate.

Keeping them there is the issue, but hey its more than what they were getting.

i'm not so sure

he's open about his hatred for the IRL and Tony George and because of this I just cannot see how he can stay impartial

but beyond that he seems to have lost the plot in the last year or so and is lashing out all the over the place

is he on the money about this champ car article? perhaps, but it could just be another one of his over reactions

Is he, open about what you allege?

I have never seen the words "I hate the IRL".

Miller doesnt get along with George however that stems from his involvement in pressuring for the Indy Stay to severe its contract Miller.

That's Miller's "take" on his departure from the Star. If you read the reports in the paper on his grievance hearing, you'd know differently.

It was coverage of an arbitration hearing in the Indianapolis Star in which Miller's grievance of wrongful firing was denied. The subjects that the arbitrator ruled on had nothing to do with TG or the Speedway.

I think over time, Miller's commentaries and reports have skewered both series when they deserved it. He has also commented positively when he thought they deserved it. I particularly remember his praise of Cotman at CC.

So when he takes on the issue of Matos, providing the detail he does, which I can compare to what Team Owner wrote initially (well before the announcement, let alone the Miller report). I think in this case we can be confident that he is pretty on-target.

...and that once again Team Owner is giving us the straight story.

Agree, John SSC....in the Matos piece, he's quoting a lot of people....the real people involved are telling the story as much as he is.

The thing with the quotes, IC, is that he has a variety of sources that are essentially saying the same thing. Since they are not in the same camp that lends additional credence to what he is writing.

Probably, but this thread's main point is not how good he is, but how on Earth can it happen that a driver finds it convenient to give up a 2 millions prize from CC to switch to IRL

and BW now it's confirmed:

http://www.indycar.com/news/story.php?story_id=10413

Once again Team Owner was right
