Wow, after watching the Bud Shootout I can hardly wait for the 500 race. It should be a wingdinger.

I hope the tyres live long enough in the daylight racing next week - if they do we're in for another cracking evening entertainment.
Don't forget there are those qualifying races to watch on Thursday as well folks!

This is all working out well. The new season of NASCAR has just coincided with Sky getting the deal and myself upgrading to SkyHD+. Watched the Shootout over breakfast.
Well done Jr!

Was it broadcast on Sky HD Adam? Us SD morons had a nice crisp HD benefit to our pictures.
I'm waiting to upgrade myself, this could just speed it along.
They also said all the races were live in the pre-race.

It doesn't really matter of course.
They were saying on the radio the wind changed direction at the end. Where Waltrip was getting a push down the straight, the wind was battering against the last few cars, Jeff Burton suffered the same.
Grid isn't set fully until Thursday of course.

It's Dodge. They were generally at the back of Daytona, Calif & Las Vegas testing too.

The encouraging thing from the Dodge perspective is they ran pretty decent in race trim the Shootout. Reed was a strong top five and Kurt sporadically ran up front and quick.
Long way to go yet.

JPM said in the radio interview they were focusing more on race setup in practice so not too surprised - after all they're guaranteed a start and really anything can happen in the Duels. Last year of course JPM qualified very well but DNF'd in the Duel so it's no great deal.
