Thruxton is only able to run 12 competition days a year, as a result of local council rulings brought about by locals who move into the area after a race circuit is opened, then do their best to get it closed down. We are not the only circuit affected by this stupidity.

If you want to PM me with details of where and when you are over, I might be able to search the calendars for you.

Are Top Hat not on CR65's?

Front running Group 1 around Thruxton was 1m30-ish, I saw a 1m34 in one report - If that's Leo's Mustang on CR65's that would be about the right gap? Am I looking at the right one?

Thanks, so stick D84's on the Mustang and he'd be just a little off the lead in Group 1 with the more modern machinery - which seems about right if memory serves. Leo can pedal a car pretty well ISTR, and I believe the Mustang ran in Group 1 some time ago..

A few years ago if you wanted to finish in the top 6 in Group 1 you needed to be posting 1m31, but in 07 most were in the 33's. I suspect this loss of relative performance is skewing Peter's view. Doesn't look like much has changed to me, seems about right?

Cheers

Stacy
