Part of it will be std then the rest will be made of bean cans.
Be a pain if a Mig wants to do the odd round.
Are you playing in Europe this season Rob or with the Migs?

That is unfortunate as propably all the mini's that race, or have raced in DMN have carbon or glass fibre boot floors. The reasons are for the obvious weight reduction and to get the tank lower in the car. A steel floor can be fabricated but we all try to make these cars as light as possible so they are reasonably competitive with the limited power that we have available from the old 5 port A series. It is a shame but I can't imagine people that have spent their hard earn't cash on fitting carbon fibre everything doing a U turn and fitting a steel boot floor. Think of the rust. Are we sure there is no way round this?.

Spot on Ken. This looks like the offending DMN Reg. Bodywork 5.6.1
For the purposes of mounting oil and fuel tanks and pumps the boot floor in-between the vehicle chassis rails and rearward of the rear axle line may be modified, irrespective of modifications the boot floor must remain a welded steel construction, the use of alloy plate or rivets to replace material removed is prohibited.
My garage is gradually filling up with bits from the car somebody says I can no longer use.Utterly P'd off.

Ive registered as a mini 7 club racing member but there are several date classes for me so i will do selected rounds of the migs.
What else i do now needs thinking about.

Just for the record the mini 7 club is holding its AGM this weekend where car and rule changes will be voted on by the competitors then and if passed the rules or changes will come in to effect in 12 months time.
This seems a very fair way dont you think.

I hear that the M7RC are considering allowing LSD's in Migs, an interesting move.
SEMSEC have a good calendar this season with three trips to Brands, I think that's where I will be. Plus Spa and maybe Nurburgring, although I hear I may need to add a catalytic converter for these events?

All SE Mini racers might like to know that Big Dave is laid up with a broken arm
Dave, I think you should stop trying to juggle Shogun's – A bit much, even for you
Hope you get fixed soon, and no I don't think you can weld this one mate!

If anyone is interested alternate materials for boot floors are allowed in Classic Thunder.
See me or the following link if you are interested.

I suggest that some one contacts Alex Osbourne and tells him about this rule.

thats unfortunate, BUT the rules have always stated no modifications allowed to the unitary construction and only minor modifications to boot floor to allow the fitting of a fuel cell, further more they also stated it wasnt permissable to remove the entire boot floor which obiviously your are doing if you fit an alloy or carbon floor,
so in actual fact the rules havnt changed just clarified at the request of the scruitieers
