BARC Intermarque or SEMSEC would take it.

We could still do the fastest Mini in Great Britain.
Use your van as a camper get an early ferry, take the wife and make it a weekend a way. Wont be that expensive.
SPA not that far from Calais, and there be 20-30 minis there. Probaly 30 min practise and 2no 30 min race for less than a entry in the uk.

Got to say Rob when the DMN went to france it was one of the best meetings I had even though we had problems it was a real adventure. If I still had the Mini we would be racing in europe with it.

I can't see any race mini owners changing a composite boot floor for a metal one. The class structure change was not good for the mini, but I can fully understand the reasons for that, but the boot floor issue will keep all the competitive mini's out. But rules are rules and we all have to abide by them. It is a shame that there could not have been some grace given as seems to have been the case with alternators and headlights.

Good pont Ken talk about this year then bring it in the following year. Like the mini 7 club and thats a british championship.
I can confirm we wont be altering our cars.

i thought the subject had been done to death!

in a championship there can be no period of grace!

headlamps have been mandatory for a while and alternators brings us inline with the msa blue book.

dont forget the msa can impose changes on us with little or no notice, we can only give you as much notice as we get

i think its kind of ironic that the whole world now knows most of the minis were running illegally, due to members of the mini camp posting such info on a public website, up until then no body knew, it strikes me you all shot yourselves in the foot!

heres some food for thought, DMN is centered around the majority of cars that support it, if the minis support it we would endevour to make it a level playing field for them (assuming they are not competitive which we think they can be), if they boycott it then it will never get more mini friendly

There is still class D in the Quaife intermarque which is very Mini friendly (up to 1600cc dual valve only), but so far no takers for Brands on March 27th.

I thoroughly enjoyed racing in class D in the intermarques last year and can confirm that the minis would be competitive, especially if they were out with the Tin Tops and as Rod has proven if you raced with the top classes the speed differential is no different than in DMN .

Its like handbags at dawn in here!
Out of interest how many minis have registered for class D this year?
Rod, i would of raced in with the tin tops on the 27th however I had no idea of knowing if it would of been ready as its only just gone in to Bills.
Secondly im having to pick and choose my rounds a bit this year as having a baby on the way means budget is tight!
And by the way Graham NOTHING was illegal on my car last year.

Tris, congrats I didn't know the Barden family was expanding

We've changed our boot floor to comply with the new regs and I see Mike Edgell has entered the first DMN round so looks like there will be at least two minis in Class E this year.
