Advice for a first time Assistant Chief Flag

Hi there everyone

I need some advice on what to do as a frist time assistant chief flag at one of australia's biggest race tracks.....

Learn the control posts and any "speciallities" with them (ala Turn 1 at Sandown becomes the paddock return road for some circuit racing events.) And also find out the current rules and any local changes to them.

Keep a lapchart if you can. If not, make sure you know where at least the top six cars are.

If you get rain down there, pencils write better than pens on damp paper.
